Christmas Luncheon

A wonderful inaugural Christmas Luncheon for BABCSD.
We had a full house of 74 people at the Hilton Bayfront San Diego. Guest of honor His Majesty’s Consul General, Paul Rennie.was in attendance and gave a rousing speech to kick off the event, local British artist Michael Muldoon provided the entertainment, our guest speaker was former Premier League star Warren Barton and the whole event was emceed by former BBC presenter Claire Stong.
There was an amazing raffle including a 7 Day Cruise and a trip to New York provided by Virgin Voyages and Delta Airlines respectively, a fabulous traditional Christmas dinner and of course our fantastic guests from the British American Business Community here in San Diego.

Panel Discussion on Currency Transfer, Tax Planning, UK Pensions, Immigration, and Banking

We assembled a team of experts who appeared in a panel and answered all your questions about tax planning, immigration status, and current and future finances. The event was attended by 35 people who gained valuable insights on immigration laws, establishing credit history, understanding the taxation system and what do fo with your UK Pension.

Manchester Utd in San Diego

Manchester United lifted the Snapdragon Cup, at the stadium of the same name, after deservedly defeating Real Betis 3-2 and BABCSD was there to see victory for the British Side!
If you have not been to the recently built Snapdragon Stadium yet you are in for a treat. Home to BABCSD Members San Diego Wave FC, it is a world-class venue and you can be sure BABCSD will be hosting events there for years to come.
Three Lions Euros 2024 Watch Parties
June and July 2024

We hosted two Euro 2024 “Watch Parties” at the glorious Hilton San Diego Bayfront. We now know that Engald had a fantastic tournament and came within a whisker of lifting the trophy. Our two watch parties were a perfect combination of networking, cheering on the National Team with fellow Brits and remembering how much we love our traditional food. Chef Cooked a Full English Breakfast for one game and Traditional Fish N Chips for the other.
British Airways Double Daily Celebration
Thursday, April 25th, 2024 San Diego
A great night at the fabulous Coasterra Restaurant on Shelter Island to celebrate the start of a second daily non-stop British Airways flight from London to San Diego. The British Consul General Emily Cloke was in attendance, as was Hurbert Frach the VP of Sales North America for British Airways.
Members of the BABCSD enjoyed interacting with local business leaders, representatives of Visit Britain, London & Partners, as well as the leadership team of the San Diego Airport Authority. It is events such as these that will continue to help foster economic growth and drive trade between San Diego and the UK. A second British Airways flight, of course, fits in nicely with that objective!
